Even with a standard/wider side by side seating configuration (versus predecessors’ narrower jet-fighter fore and aft seating).. It manages to stay slippy by staying nice and low to the ground..

Combine this with lightweight materials.. Airstream management.. And a diesel/electric powerplant.. And you get the magic mileage numbers..

Will this car or a near variant hit our roads soon? I’m hoping sooner.. Than later..

Peugeot Innovates On A Bike..

A few might not know this.. but Peugeot not only has a long history with cars.. but also with bicycles.. Since the late 1800′s.. they’ve been sponsoring riders and building racing bikes..  And yes.. I’ve seen some really cool bike concepts in the past.. But the B1K by Peugeot has really caught my eyetention.. Unorthodox carbon fiber frame/suspension.. chainless transmission.. hubless rear.. and what looks like run-flat/airless pullover tires.. hmmmmmm..

This new material can prove very useful in Haiti right now..  Inflatable emergency shelters made with a thin walled cement impregnated fabric (Concrete Cloth) bonded to the outer surface of a plastic inner.. All you need is air and water..

Inflate the shelter.. Add water.. Let dry for 24 hours.. and you have a waterproof and fireproof structure that you can stand on top of.. and will last up to ten years if needed..

Concrete Cloth also has many civilian and military applications.. as well as a few creative ones that just came to mind.. Genious material..

Playing With Simple Machines Was Fun..

Got a kid?.. Want to teach them about simple machines like an inclined plane?.. A lever?.. A pulley?.. Then go over to the Simple Machines game over at the Museum of Science and Industry..  I remember playing Flash games back in the 90′s.. This one is in Flash too.. and it brings back fond memories..  The characters and activities make learning about these essential tools/machines fun.. Can you keep a secret?.. I had fun testing it before I showed this game to my kid.. LOL..
